In a beauty industry built on endless choice, personalization becomes everything.

This project centered on solving a niche crossover: makeup lovers who are interested in professional color analysis and want a more accessible way to shop within their personal palette. The result is Aura, a brand and app concept that allows users to receive a digital color analysis and seamlessly shop makeup products tailored to their unique undertones and features.

The platform functions as both a color-reading tool and a curated marketplace. After completing their analysis, users receive a personalized summary of their palette, while still having the ability to explore other color categories. The primary user journey encourages shopping within one’s recommended palette, filtering products from multiple beauty brands, and refined through personalized color logic.

Visually, Aura is soft, serene, and luminous, reflecting the emotional and transformative experience of discovering one’s colors. Beyond branding, social media, packaging, and interface design, the project also includes a physical activation: an in-store Sephora pop-up where customers can receive live color readings and shop curated shelves organized by palette. Aura bridges digital convenience with experiential retail, turning color theory into a personalized beauty system.
