LA COLOMBE,
COFFEE WAREHOUSE
As a growing coffee company scales, keeping track of physical inventory becomes just as important as selling the product.
Fearless Inventory is a mobile inventory auditing app designed for a growing coffee chain’s warehouse team. The goal of the project was to create a tool that allows workers to count physical inventory and compare it with the system’s expected stock, generating a clear report for operations leadership.
Working from the existing La Colombe brand, I audited their design system and built a lightweight mobile system that could support an inventory-focused workflow. Because La Colombe does not currently have an app, I established additional UI rules while staying aligned with their visual identity. The interface prioritizes clarity and efficiency, using structured product lists, expandable categories, and a simplified visual hierarchy to make large inventories easier to navigate. I also designed additional icons and components to extend the existing system.
Throughout the process, I conducted guerrilla user testing on early wireframes, which helped identify usability issues and refine the structure of the app before moving into higher-fidelity designs.
While La Colombe’s brand typically relies on curated imagery and expressive digital experiences, this app shifts toward a more utilitarian approach. The result is a functional, mobile-first inventory tool that maintains brand consistency while prioritizing speed, organization, and usability for warehouse operations.
